Angela Pilath is a DPhil Candidate at the Oxford Department of International Development (ODID) at the University of Oxford. Starting from November 2015, she was guest of the WZB unit Global Governance for one year. Her then research examined the influence of knowledge elites and the political effects of their causal claims in world politics. It did so by examining the case of environmental migration. The empirical analysis focused on intergovernmental negotiation processes, which seeked to create normative frameworks for the protection of migrants displaced by natural disasters and the effects of climate change.
