Anselm Hager is a visiting researcher in the migration, integration and transnationalization research unit. He received his Ph.D. in 2017 at Columbia University. His research interest focuses on the political economy of development. With Hanno Hilbig he is working on the effects of state expenditure on electoral behavior in the course of a project examining irregularities in the census of 2011
