Prof. Dr. Joachim Blatter

Joachim Blatter, Professor of Political Science at the University of Lucerne (Switzerland), was guest at the WZB unit Global Governance during January–July 2017. He works on current transformations of conceptualizing democracy - both in respect to new forms of governance (kratos) and new forms of citizenship (demos). Furthermore, he produces text books and compendiums on case study and qualitative methods. During his stay at the WZB, he worked on transforming the working paper titled "Between nationalism and globalism: Spaces and forms of democratic citizenship in and for a post-Westphalian world" into a book manuscript.
