Marlien Schlaphoff was scholarship holder (2013-2016), research fellow (2016-2017), and guest researcher (2017-2018) at the Global Governance unit. She received her PhD in International Relations at the Freie Universität Berlin in 2017 (Title of the thesis: Counterterrorism Across Regions. Explaining the Scope of Regional Counterterrorism Activity).
