Pieter de Wilde is Associate Professor for European Politics at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim since September 2016. He was a PhD fellow at ARENA Centre for European Studies, University of Oslo, from 2006 to 2011 (dissertation title: "How Politicisation Affects European Integration: Contesting the EU Budget in the Media and Parliaments of the Netherlands, Denmark and Ireland"). During his time at the WZB between 2011 and 2016, he was affiliated with the Bridging Project "The Political Sociology of Cosmopolitanism and Communitarianism" and the research unit Global Governance. He was visiting scholar with WZB–Harvard Merit Fellowship at Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies (CES), Harvard University, for the first half of 2016.
